SSC Photo & Signature Requirements 2026
Important Update: SSC has changed its application process. Photos are now captured live via webcam/mobile camera — you no longer upload a scanned photo file.
What Changed?
SSC CGL, CHSL, MTS, GD, and other exams now use live photograph capture:
- No scanned photo upload for the photograph
- Live webcam/mobile capture during application
- Signature still needs to be uploaded as a scanned file
Live Photo Capture Requirements
- Well-lit area with plain background
- Face the camera directly, look straight, camera at eye level
- No caps, masks, or spectacles/glasses
Signature Upload Specifications (Still Required)
- Dimensions: 4.0 cm (width) x 2.0 cm (height)
- File Size: 10 KB to 20 KB
- Format: JPEG / JPG only
- Method: Sign on white paper using black ink pen
